# Introduction

> RootSmith finds the questions your buyers ask AI assistants, then plans, writes, publishes, and measures the pages that get you named in the answers.

RootSmith tracks what ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Google's AI
Overviews say about your buyers' questions. It finds the gaps, writes
source-checked pages in your brand's voice, publishes them on your own
domain, and shows whether they get you cited.

## Set up in three parts

1. **Add your website.** RootSmith reads it and drafts your brand profile.
2. **Connect your website's code** so approved pages publish on your domain.
3. **Connect your AI agent** (optional) to do all of this from Claude, Codex,
   Cursor, or any MCP client.

## Docs for AI agents

These docs are written for people and for agents.

- [`/llms.txt`](/llms.txt) lists every page with a short summary.
- [`/llms-full.txt`](/llms-full.txt) has every page in one file.
- Add `.md` to any page URL to get its Markdown. A request with
  `Accept: text/markdown` also gets Markdown.
- Each page has **Copy Markdown** and **Open** buttons to hand it to an agent.
